I was asked to help create a design system for Qeepsake, a tech startup creating digital scrapbooks, to help parents document their children’s milestones.

Create a design library that can be easily maintained and shared with cross-functional teams
Challenge
Create the visual design and a design system that will be used by various of cross-functional teams to maintain brand consistency and reduce friction between design and development when it is time for hand-off.

Solution
The atomic design system was the best option to create an easily maintainable and expandable design sytem.
Approach
I took note of existing assets and worked closely with stakeholders to to eliminate any assets that did not align with their vision. Once I had an idea of the look they wanted, I created more assets.
Design
I defined the colors, typefaces, and iconography styles that will be used. I followed the atomic design system that relies on various “parts” that form an atom, making it a dynamic and easily expandable design system.
Outcomes
A fully built out atomic design system that allows various internal and 3rd party teams to work collaboratively while maintaining consistency.
