I was asked to help design and launch a backend credit management dashboard for Nigeria’s most trusted credit agency, to help small businesses keep track of client payments and cashflow and report late payments.

Create a user friendly dashboard to help small businesses keep track of and report late payments
Challenge
Build the visual design for the CreditConnection Business app and the design system to help make development hand-off painless. Gain an understanding of end user pain points, while educating them about the importance of maintaining a good credit score.
Solution
Creating clean design assets with variables built in helped reduce clutter and saved time by making client changes quick and easy. Regular interaction with future end users helped keep me accountable to users and stakeholders.
Approach
Having regular meetings with stakeholders helped me stay on track and streamlined the design process. The stakeholders provided me access to small business owners that would eventually be using the dashboard, which allowed me to get direct user feedback.
Design
With plenty of examples of finance dashboards available, I focused on staying true to existing branding instead of new features. However, since it was part of the new “business” branch, I was able to modernize some of the aesthetic.
Outcomes
A sleek, modern, and easy to use dashboard to help small businesses keep track of business cashflow while reporting delinquent payments directly to Nigeria’s credit bureau.
